Schaltbau subsidiary SBRS supplies additional e-bus charging station for Münster (Germany)

Munich/Dinslaken (Germany), 27 June 2019. Today, the Schaltbau Group subsidiary SBRS GmbH (“SBRS”) announced that the City of Münster will expand its e-bus network with the proven SBRS charging infrastructure.

Over the next two years, the Münster municipal utility company intends to fully equip an additional bus line with electric buses. The first four all-electric articulated buses are set to go into service in the first half of 2020 and a further six e-buses will be added in 2021 in order to convert the entire 15 kilometres of line 11 to electric power.

To charge the buses, SBRS will be installing a charging station at the bus terminus on Dieckmannstrasse in Gievenbeck. The equipment features a fast-charging mast identical to the SEB-2 series already operating in Münster.

The charging station will be built with sufficient space to enable a second charging point to be retrofitted as the need arises.
