Schaltbau confirms guidance after loss in Q1 2017
München (Germany), May 12, 2017. The Schaltbau Group (WKN: 717030, ISIN: DE0007170300) concluded the first quarter of 2017 – according to preliminary figures now available – in the expected range with an EBIT figure of EUR -8,5 mill. (previous year: EUR +2,7 mill.), along with a decrease in revenues by 6.3 % to EUR 110,6 mill. The loss of the period of EUR -12.3 mill. (previous year EUR -2.6 mill.) also contains one-off expenses from the successful re-negotiation of financial debt. Due to the significant increase in order intake (+9.5 % compared to Q1 2016) and order book (+14.3 % compared to year-end 2016), the Schaltbau Group expects a sizeable increase in revenues and an improvement in earnings in the following quarters. Subject to a stable market development, the revenues goal of EUR 520-540 mill. and the intended EBIT-margin of 3 % to 4 % remain within reach.
The interim report (as stipulated by Exchange Rules “Börsenordnung FWB”) for the first quarter remains scheduled for publication on May 18.
