Thomas Giebisch appointed new managing director of Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG, Kassel

Munich / Kassel, 12 January 2016 – Thomas Giebisch (51) has been appointed to the post of joint managing director of Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG (“Bode”), Kassel, with effect from 1 January 2016. Within the management team, Mr Giebisch is responsible for the Rail Business as well as for R&D.

Thomas Giebisch began his career at Bode in 1981 as a trainee industrial management assistant and was later responsible for various fields, including Purchasing, Materials Management and Rail Infrastructure. In 2014 he was appointed managing director of Gebr. Bode & Co. Beteiligungsgesellschaft GmbH. The Rail Infrastructure business field, which he has managed with outstanding success since 2003, remains under his leadership with the aim of strategically aligning it even more strongly with the Mobile Transportation Technology segment of Schaltbau Holding AG.

The other members of the management team of Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG are Dr Ernst Raphael (Spokesman) and Sven Oelert.

Gebr. Bode, a wholly owned subsidiary of Schaltbau Holding AG, Munich, is a leading supplier of door and boarding systems for buses, trains and commercial vehicles.
