Thomas Giebisch appointed to management of Gebr. Bode & Co. Beteiligungsgesellschaft GmbH, Kassel

Munich / Kassel, 14 January 2014 – Thomas Giebisch (49), Hessisch-Lichtenau, has been appointed with immediate effect as additional Managing Director of Gebr. Bode & Co. Beteiligungsgesellschaft GmbH, a subsidiary of Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG (‘Bode’), Kassel. Thomas Giebisch joined Bode in 1981 and, after completing his training as commercial manager in industry (Industriekaufmann), he held a number of positions, including responsibility for Purchasing and Materials Management. Since 2003, he has successfully headed the Door Systems for Railway Vehicles division, which will remain under his leadership with a clear aim of increasing the international dimension of this line of business.

Dirk Christian Löchner remains Managing Director of Gebr. Bode & Co. Beteiligungs-gesellschaft GmbH, alongside his activities as member of the Executive Board of Schaltbau Holding AG.

With future market requirements in mind, particularly in the fields of electronics, sensor technology and system networking and as part of the process of bundling and expanding its research and development activities, Bode is investing in a new technology centre at the Kassel site. Construction work commenced on 27 September 2013. Alfons Harding, previously responsible for the Door Systems for Buses division, will take over responsibility for the new centre with immediate effect. Dr. Ernst Raphael, spokesman for the management of Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG, will head the Door Systems for Buses division on a temporary basis.
