Thomas Milewski is divisional head of SBRS

Munich, 2 September 2015 – Thomas Milewski (51) commenced his work as head of the new SBRS division on 1 September 2015. The plan is for all of the Schaltbau Group’s refurbishment activities throughout the German-speaking region (DACH) to be bundled, coordinated and expanded across all group entities. As part of the strategy to expand the division’s activities, the intention is to found SBRS GmbH in the near future, with Thomas Milewski as its managing director.

After studying Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Duisburg, Milewski worked for two years in the railway sector, before joining Schaltbau’s subsidiary, Pintsch Bamag, in Dinslaken in 1994. His activities there covered a wide range of functions, ultimately rising to position of authorised signatory (Prokurist) and head of the Equipment for Railway Vehicles business field. Between 2006 and 2015 Milewski worked at Vossloh Kiepe, where his most recent role involved responsibility for the Service, Components and Modernisation business field.

With annual sales of around EUR 485 million and more than 2,750 employees, the Schaltbau Group is a leading supplier of components and systems in the field of transportation technology and the capital goods industry. The companies of the Schaltbau Group supply complete level crossing systems, shunting and signal technology, door and boarding systems for buses, trains and commercial vehicles, sanitary systems and interior fittings for railway vehicles, industrial brakes for container cranes and wind turbines as well as driver desks and high- and low-voltage components for rolling stock
