Schaltbau Group represented in board of industry association VDB

Thomas Milewski, Managing Director of SBRS GmbH, was elected to the board at the annual general meeting of industry association VDB in Braunschweig (Brunswick) on September 15, 2017.

Thomas Milewski, born in 1964, completed an apprenticeship in „Energy devices electronics“ at (former) Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railways) and then studies electrical and mechanical engineering. Since then, he has been active in various companies of the railway industry. He is looking forward to bringing his long-lasting experience to the tables of VDB and advance railway-related topics in business and politics, based on the perspective of a Group-adherent SME.

The German Railway Industry Association (VDB) unites producers of all railway-related products, both system houses as well as medium-sized suppliers. The railway industry produces rolling stock, supplies infrastructure equipment and develops customer information and entertainment systems. Moreover, the member companies offer a broad spectrum of services: planning, engineering, leasing, and design. Of growing importance are competences for maintenance, refurbishment and intelligent trains that predict their need for spare parts.
