Entrance door and step systems for the Kazakh state railway

The Kazakh state railway “Kasachstan Temir Scholy” (KTZ) opened two new high-speed links at the end of August. On 22 August a mainline train of the Spanish rail vehicle manufacturer Talgo ran from the capital city Astana to Atyrau on the Caspian Sea for the first time. The travel time from the east to the west of the ninth-largest country in the world now only takes just over 22 hours. Previously the KTZ trains took 33 hours to travel the 1,839 kilometer long link between the two metropolises. 27 cars are used on the Astana-Atyrau line, including 22 cars for passenger transport: two luxury class cars, two business class cars and 18 tourist class cars.

The Bode BIDS-S sliding plug doors for passenger train cars and high-speed trains have been delivered to different customers since 1986, in total more than 21,000 systems are in use to date.

The Bode BISS sliding step systems have been established on the market since 2003 and more than 40,000 systems have been delivered to date.
